This is the first logo i created. designed on illustrator,although its very simple visually there has been allot of time spent on the choice of text and its placing.
The 'it' at the end of summit is joined together , at fist a accident when i was moving the lettering closer together i decided to stick with it , as i think it symbolises togetherness asking to viewers and customers to sum-up the restaurant.
The over sized miss shaped olive was mainly designed like this to create balance in the logo, i originally used generic colours for the olive for example dark greens and light black but then decided to be original and different and use colours that didn't match like chalky yellow and mustard orange.
The reason for miss shaping the olive is so you don't recognise the shapes instantly, i wanted to make my viewers think.
Overall i think the logo worked quite well , I'm now using different materials in my work , trying different styles of design like,
- incorporating drawing skills
- broadening my knowledge of IN-desing
and experimenting more in photoshop with colours and layers.
